Blacktown Aquatic Centre has two 50m pools and a toddlers pool. The Indoor Pool is heated all year round for your comfort. The pools are used for a range of different activities such as lap swimming, learn to swim, carnivals, aqua fitness classes and recreational swimming. Features include: - Olympic 8 lane Indoor 50m heated pool with spectator seating - Outdoor 6 lane 50m heated pool (Closed during Winter April - August) - Outdoor sheltered toddler's pool - Cardio Theatre with state of the art equipment including: Treadmills, Bikes, Cross Trainers, Rowers and Steppers. - Gymnasium free weight and machine weights equipment - Stretch and Abdominal area - Fitness assessment and programming room - Group Fitness room - Fully operational café with loads of healthy food choices - Change room facilities including Family change rooms and disabled access - Outdoor picnic and play areas - Giant water inflatables Blacktown Aquatic Centre is Western Sydney's main competition pool hosting over 50 swimming meets each year. Kieran Perkins broke the 800m Freestyle World Record in our Competition pool in 1992. Blacktown Aquatic Centre underwent a refurbishment to expand our services and provide a training facility for swimmers at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The Centre prides itself on being more than just a competition pool however, offering health, fitness, fun and leisure opportunities for everyone.
